フリーランスになりたての頃は、女性のイラストを描く仕事もチラホラ有ったのですが、テキスタイルデザインや書籍の制作の方が徐々にメインとなり、今は個人制作で時々描いています。
子供の頃から女の子のイラストを描くことが大好きで、暇さえあればいつも描いていました。高校生の時にはその当時発売されたVOGUE JAPANに心奪われ、ファッションイラストレーションがさらに好きになりました。そこから模様を作る楽しさや、デザインへの関心が広がったのだと思います。私の原点の様なものです。
I've loved drawing illustrations that appreciate women's beauty ever since I was a little girl.When I bought the fashion magazine VOGUE JAPAN, which was first published in 1997, I was amazed by the beautiful world of fashion culture it revealed. Since then, I've been trying to express that beauty in my illustrations.
最近はAIが進化して、イラストもかなりの精度で制作されるようになりました。私もその技術を時々ファッションイラストレーションに取り込んだりしています。上手く融合させて使って行けたらと思います。
I love both hand-drawing with pencil and using digital tools like Procreate.And now, I've got a miraculous tool—Photoshop AI. Initially, I hesitated to use it because I felt it was a cheat way to create something.I also felt that it makes our work unnecessary.But at the same time, I was amazed to see the potential to enhance our expressive power.
I still draw almost all the motifs in my illustrations, but I have tried to mix in some parts created with Photoshop AI. Fortunately, the style of my illustrations seems to fit well with this new technique. I want to find nice ways to combine them.
